August 25 was a full day in Greensboro for our campaign as well. I started the day by dropping in to the Women's Equality Day seminar before heading downtown to the Triad Pride Festival, and over to the morning Democratic party meetings preceding the state Democratic Executive Committee meeting in the afternoon. The day peaked with the Sanford-Hunt celebration itself that night.
The week since then has been highlighted by trips to Washington (the original Washington—the one on the banks of the Pamlico River down east) and to Charlotte. The Beaufort County Democratic Party turned out a big room full of Democrats for its kickoff barbeque on August 28; and the Mecklenburg County Democratic Executive Committee heard from several local candidates—and a Lieutenant Governor candidate (ahem)—on August 30.
The coming week will see me headed back to Greensboro and Charlotte, plus over to Salisbury and more stops in between. It's a good thing I finally got the tires rotated and oil changed on my old car...
Those are my latest campaign highlights. As always, you're invited to check my website for more background, issue information, and contact information at www.danbesse2008.org
