This is a group of people whose pre-existing medical conditions make it impossible for them to find affordable health insurance on the private market. I feel strongly that no one should have to go without health care, or risk loss of their home and bankruptcy to get it.

Thousands of our citizens need this high-risk insurance pool for access to affordable health care. Last year, the House approved it, but the bill died in the N.C. Senate without even coming to a debate and vote. This year, our Senate leaders need to step up and see to it that this bill passes.
