On this day, I was the main speaker in Stanly County in the morning, before heading to Mecklenburg in the afternoon. A good crowd of enthusiastic Democrats turned out for the Stanly convention in the town of Albemarle; and a large and lively crowd filled a large room in Charlotte for Mecklenburg's meeting. Legendary civil rights attorney James Ferguson was the inspiring featured speaker in Mecklenburg.

As during the previous week, I am again indebted to my campaign volunteers who represented me in other venues (Wake, Durham, Orange, New Hanover, and more) that I couldn't reach personally this time.
